I finished my DeVine Neck Warmer today!!! I cast off and blocked the piece last night, and today I wove in the loose ends and sewed on the buttons. This is my third knitting project, and I think it turned out rather well considering I’m a bit of a novice.
I loved working this pattern and seeing the leaves and vines forming as I progressed. The pattern was well-written and easy to follow, the yarn (Lima by Diamond Luxury Collection) was lovely to work with (except when I had to go back – sometimes things got a little tangled). The piece measures around 19″ long and 8” wide after blocking and fits me nearly perfectly.
As I already mentioned, this is just my third knitting project, and I learned a whole lot working on it. I made a few mistakes, but I’m going to wear it with such pride! Hopefully very soon, I’ll get to the fabric store and pick out a nice piece of flannel to line my neck warmer with.
Almost as soon as the yarn for this project was off the needles, I was casting on for my next project. Loving this knitting thing!

That is hot! Way to go!
You sure don’t look like much of a novice.
Thank you! It’s a gorgeous pattern. Working on this took me up a few steps (there were LOTS of “firsts”), but there’s still a lot to learn, which is part of the fun!
